Eugene police are asking for the public’s help to find a stolen pickup truck they say was involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a bicyclist in north Eugene on July 4.
Eugene Police Investigations said the vehicle is a silver 2010 Chevrolet Silverado HD pickup truck with Oregon license plate 349LKZ. Police said the truck has a modified lift, oversized black wheels and tires, and a silver canopy, and it should have front passenger-side damage from hitting the bicyclist.
Police said the truck was reported stolen in Florence near the North Jetty between about 2:30 and 3 p.m. on July 4. The theft was not officially reported until July 5 at about 11:44 a.m. through the Lane County Sheriff’s Office online reporting system…
