Eugene woman jailed for felony DUI after alleged hit-and-run crash

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene Police arrested a woman Thursday night for felony driving under the influence after she crashed into another car and kept driving, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said officers responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Kinsrow Avenue around 10:53 p.m. on Aug. 6 for a crash. They found 28-year-old Elizabeth Chandler standing outside her running car. Chandler told officers she had been driving. Police say she hit another car on Kinsrow Avenue before continuing west. Officers smelled alcohol on Chandler and determined she was impaired. She failed field sobriety tests, and her blood alcohol concentration was well above the legal limit.

Police also learned Chandler’s driver’s license was suspended because of a previous driving under the influence charge. Her car couldn’t be driven and was towed…
