70 North Alabama residents qualify for Masters Games of Alabama

Seventy North Alabama residents have qualified for the Masters Games of Alabama after competing in district-level events earlier this summer.

Participants ages 50 and older from Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan counties earned spots in the statewide competition, which will be held Oct. 5-8 in Trussville.

The counties make up District 2 of the Masters Games of Alabama, along with Lawrence County, which did not have participants this year. The district includes residents from the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) and North Alabama Regional Council of Governments (NARCOG) regions…
