Man charged with attempted murder after family dispute leads to shooting in Central Florida

ORANGE CITY, Fla. – A Central Florida man is facing charges with attempted second-degree murder after authorities say he shot another man multiple times during a family-related dispute while his two young children were inside the vehicle with him.

Officers with the Orange City Police Department responded at about 11:15 p.m. Friday, July 24, to a report of a shooting at the Reserve at Orange City apartment complex.

According to a preliminary investigation, the victim, who police said was unarmed, became involved in a confrontation with the father of his girlfriend’s children. During the dispute, investigators said Brown allegedly fired multiple rounds from inside his vehicle, striking the victim several times.
