Richardson Baptist Church Flips to Islamic Campus After $3.8 Million Legal Fight

A North Dallas church property that sparked a contract fight is now officially slated to become an Islamic education hub, according to its buyers.

Authentic Ilm Mission says it has finished buying the longtime Richardson Baptist campus at 201 N. Plano Road and plans to convert it into a K–12 school, a dawah seminary and a base for community services serving the surrounding suburbs.

In a written response to The Dallas Express, Dr. Karim Abū Zaid, speaking for Authentic Ilm Mission, stated, “I can confirm that the purchase of the property has been completed,” and identified Salahuddin Future Academy as the buyer. The confirmation follows a months‑long fundraising push tied to securing a former church campus in the Richardson/Plano corridor.

Buyer sued to enforce the sale

Salahuddin Future Academy filed suit against the Korean World Mission Baptist Church on Feb. 26 in Dallas County’s 191st District Court. According to the court petition, the parties signed a sales contract on Oct. 31, 2025, for $3.8 million, and the academy paid $38,000 in earnest money…
