BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Tonawanda woman who was convicted in 2024 of killing her newborn baby in 2020 will get a new trial.
A state appeals court made the ruling on Friday.
Andee Wright, now 34, was convicted of killing her newborn and putting his body in the basement of her Eggert Road home in Tonawanda on Oct. 5, 2020. If prosecutors choose to retry the case, it will be Wright’s third trial. The first trial ended in a mistrial in 2023, before she was convicted in her second trial in 2024…
