Washington man now facing manslaughter charges in Pendleton fatal crash

PENDLETON – Charges have been amended in the case of a Battle Ground, Washington man who was the driver in a crash that killed two people and sent an infant to the hospital.

Cullen Derr, 38, has been charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter. He had already been charged with third-degree assault, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of intoxicants. Three charges of recklessly endangering another person have been removed from charging documents.

A 24-year-old woman and 15-year-old male were killed in the July 16 single-vehicle crash at Exit 207 on Interstate 84 in Pendleton. A 9-month-old infant sustained serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle, there has been no update on the child’s condition…
