MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – Two people were rescued Monday after a sailboat struck a bridge piling near the Manatee Avenue Bridge in Manatee County.
Strong winds reportedly caused the approximately 30-foot catamaran to crash into the piling, snapping its mast, according to West Manatee Fire Rescue.
