SAN JOSE — Silver Creek Community Market in South San Jose will close on Sept. 20, affecting dozens of workers, a filing with the state Employment Development Department shows.
The organic grocery store is owned and operated by New Leaf Community Markets. An estimated 61 jobs are expected to be impacted.
Silver Creek is closing despite being the only organic grocery serving an affluent area of the city.
