NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced some pricing, jobs, and stock details for his city-owned grocery stores, the first of which is promised by 2027.
Prices at city-run grocery stores will be 30% cheaper than the regular grocery stores, making up for a 30% jump in food prices since 2019, he said. Prices will be set once a month.
