Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Will Celebrate New Inclusive Play Space and Upgraded Courts on August 5
A new playground at Glasgow Regional Park is officially open to the public, with New Castle County planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony next month to celebrate the completion of the project.
New Castle County Executive Marcus Henry will lead the ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. at Glasgow Regional Park, 2275 Pulaski Highway, Glasgow. The event will mark the formal unveiling of the new playground, which opened for public use on July 24, while also highlighting recent improvements made to the park’s tennis and basketball courts.
The New Castle County Department of Public Works Parks Division began construction on the project in November 2025. Work included the construction of the new playground, the full reconstruction of the park’s tennis courts, and the resurfacing of its basketball courts.
