EUGENE, Ore. – A team of former White Bird Clinic workers and crisis responders are searching for funding to bring CAHOOTS-style mobile crisis response services back to Eugene.
Willamette Valley Crisis Care, or WVCC, is hosting one of several community listening sessions Monday night at the Trauma Healing Project in Eugene. The goal of the session is to gather public input and explore funding solutions to restore services.
“As community members, if you want to come in and be a part of this, that’ll help determine what direction we go in,” said Jacob Trewe, a board member with Willamette Valley Crisis Care. “We wouldn’t be here if Eugene already didn’t care an awful lot about community crisis response.”…
