San Antonio-area resident wins $1 million on Circle K scratch-off ticket

A San Antonio-area resident is ending this summer as a millionaire. The Texas Lottery announced on Tuesday, July 28, that a person living north of the city snagged a top-prize ticket after purchasing it at a popular gas station.

The lucky winner lives in Seguin, about 40 minutes from San Antonio. However, they purchased the winning card at a Circle K in Corpus Christi, possibly during a beach vacation. The gas station is located at 6330 McArdle Road, according to a press release.

The convenience store could also benefit from the Seguin native’s good fortune. Through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program, the store may now be eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the card.

Like many winners who receive a cash reward, the claimant has asked to remain anonymous, according to the release. The player secured the rare win after playing 200X The Cash, a game that awards only four $1 million prizes out of roughly 8 million cards printed…
