VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Streets, parks, schools and restaurants across Voorheesville are dealing with extreme flash flooding. One business owner says he never expected to see water rise this fast. Now he’s working to keep his business open.
“So it was definitely a surprise coming into today…You know, way worse than we could ever expect,” says Anthony Berghela, owner of Anthony by Romo’s Pizza.
The restaurant’s outside dining area and basement are flooded, under nearly a foot of water. Voorheesville Village fire had crews help mitigate the flooding this morning. But Anthony Berghela says the cleanup is far from over…
