A serial bank robber who hit a branch serving the Middletown area during a run of six holdups across the region will spend the next 9 to 18 years in state prison. Marc Masich, 48, of Amherst, New York, was sentenced in Bucks County court after admitting to a string of robberies that stretched through Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware counties in 2024.
President Judge Raymond F. McHugh handed down a term on each of the six robbery counts and ordered them to run one after another, which is how the sentence lands at nine years on the low end and 18 on the high end. Masich was also ordered to pay $20,255 in restitution and to have no contact with the six banks he targeted or the employees who worked in them.
For the neighborhoods along the Middletown and Langhorne end of the county, the case has a local thread running through it. One of the branches Masich admitted robbing was a Santander location in Langhorne, and Middletown Township police were among the departments that worked the investigation on the ground.
