Bethlehem man facing DWAI, child endangerment charges in fatal crash

BETHLEHEM — Police have arrested a 53-year-old Bethlehem man in connection with an April crash that killed 19-year-old Mason Ruggaber.

Eric Thompson was charged with two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, as well as driving while ability impaired by drugs and two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, Bethlehem police announced Tuesday. He allegedly had two children inside his SUV when it collided with a motorcycle ridden by Ruggaber on April 27 at the intersection of Route 9W and Magee Drive.
