BENSON — The Benson Police Department hosted a multi-agency enforcement event Friday, July 24, as part of the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program’s “Speeding Slows You Down” campaign.
The grants awarded by the NCGHSP encourage law enforcement agencies to participate in traffic safety initiatives. Benson Sgt. T. Britt organized and supervised two checking stations located on opposite sides of town.
