DULUTH, Min. (KQDS-TV) – The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has announced a new clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist used to treat diabetes, as treatment for alcohol use disorder (AUD); AUD is also know as Alcoholism.
Semaglutides and GLP-1s have also been making headlines for their use in weight loss drugs.
