LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Shaker High School will soon welcome its first female principal, according to an announcement from the North Colonie Central School District. Officials said Crystal Fox will assume the role starting August 12.

Fox, who has been with the district for nearly 17 years, will be replacing Marcus Puccioni. Puccioni’s resignation was approved by the district Board of Education during its July 20 meeting.
“I have the utmost confidence that Mrs. Fox will be an incredible leader of students, as well as faculty and staff members for Shaker High School,” District Superintendent Kathleen Skeals said.
According to the district, Fox started in the district as a Special Education Supervisor and worked her way up to Assistant Director of Pupil Services. She has also worked as the Lafollette Hall Principal and has helped with the high school administration…
