‘Wild cat’ on the loose in Ohio turns out to be Savannah cat

July 31 (UPI) — Ohio police dispatched on a report of a “wild cat” on the loose ended up helping to recapture a resident’s escaped Savannah cat.

Olmsted Township Police said officers responded to a report of a “wild cat” in a residential area on Thursday.

“Upon further investigation, it was determined the animal was a domesticated Savannah cat that had escaped from its owner,” police said in a news release.

Savannah cats are hybrids of domestic cats and African servals…
