ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Summertime is a time of year that often ends in a critical shortage for blood donations across the nation. People are busy, injury rates are high, and the American Red Cross says they are in dire need of donors.
Jackie Grant, Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Southwest Virginia, joins Hazelmarie Anderson in the WFXR studios to talk about the blood shortage and how you can roll up your sleeve to make a difference.
