EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene Police is bringing National Night Out back to PK Park on Sunday, teaming up with the Eugene Emeralds for a free community event starting at 3:30 p.m.
The event takes place outside the ballpark gates and doesn’t require game tickets. More than 27 booths will be set up, featuring equipment and staff from Eugene Police, Springfield Police, Cottage Grove Police, Junction City Police, University of Oregon Police, Lane County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Eugene Springfield Fire Department. People can visit with SWAT, Crisis Negotiation, Traffic Team, Bomb Team, K9, Drone Team, 911, Forensics Unit, Major Collisions Team, Animal Services, Volunteers in Policing, Recruiting, Cadets and Community Engagement Team. The Eugene Emeralds are sponsoring 1,500 game ticket vouchers to hand out, and the Eugene Police Foundation donated 500 hot dog vouchers.
