Closures set overnight on August 3 for Highway 99-58 interchange, crews to install signs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Drivers traveling between Highway 99 and Highway 58 in Bakersfield should plan for extra time and detours Monday night as crews install bridge signs, according to the city.

The Ming Avenue on-ramp for northbound Highway 99 to the westbound Highway 58 on-ramp is scheduled to close overnight from 8 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026, to 5 a.m. Tuesday as part of the 7th Movement of the Centennial Corridor.

During the closure, drivers will be detoured to northbound Wible Road. From Ming Avenue, drivers will continue north on Wible Road/Oak Street to California Avenue, turn left (west) on California Avenue, then enter the northbound Highway 99 on-ramp…
