St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

For more than 135 years, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church has been a place of faith, fellowship, and service in Edmond. The parish traces its roots to June 24, 1889, when its first church, a one-room building with a bell tower, was completed at First Street and Boulevard.

As Edmond grew, the parish expanded through new buildings, renovations, and its move to the current campus at Ninth Street and South Littler Avenue in 1955. Today, the church includes a worship space completed in 1982 and a 20,000-square-foot Learning Center.

The mission of St. John the Baptist is simple and enduring: to make disciples by walking alongside each person on their journey of faith. Whether someone has attended church for years, is exploring Christianity for the first time, or is returning after time away, the parish strives to provide a welcoming community rooted in the teachings of Jesus…
