Gunfire erupted overnight on Syracuse’s South Side, leaving a 56-year-old man wounded and a nearby business hit by multiple rounds.
On Sunday at about 1:08 a.m., Syracuse police officers were dispatched to Oakwood Avenue after a ShotSpotter activation indicated multiple rounds had been fired. Officers arrived and found a 56-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the back.
The man was taken to University Hospital for treatment. He was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive…
