CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Six people were rescued after a boat capsized near Great Bridge Lock in Chesapeake Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
At around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, Coast Guard Sector Virginia’s watchstanders received a report from a good samaritan about seeing a capsized recreational boat near Great Bridge Lock. Two separate boats rescued all of the boaters and transported them to emergency services on shore.
