Another Planet Entertainment is suing the general contractor that led the Castro Theatre’s $41 million renovation, alleging faulty construction, millions of dollars in excessive billing and unauthorized use of the landmark and other Bay Area venues to promote the contractor’s business.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in San Francisco Superior Court, names Emeryville construction company Alarcon Bohm Corp. and its president and CEO, Kevin Bohm.
Another Planet and three affiliated companies accuse the defendants of trademark infringement, false association, false advertising, unfair competition and failing to protect the Castro operator from claims by unpaid subcontractors…
