YREKA, Calif. – Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office detectives identified a woman found dead near Hawkinsville View Road in June as 68-year-old Frankie Marie Keller of Seiad Valley.
A patrol unit found Keller’s body on June 8 after a passerby reported it that morning. Forensic analysis helped detectives identify her. An autopsy determined she died from blunt force trauma, and her death was ruled a homicide.
Detectives identified Keller’s roommate, 39-year-old Elzie Jane Hernandez, as a suspect during their investigation. A judge issued a warrant for Hernandez’s arrest on June 29.
