TAMPA, Fla. — Drivers heading toward Tampa International Airport or State Road 60 on northbound Interstate 275 will soon run into a new traffic pattern.
Beginning Monday, August 10, at 10 p.m., the Exit 39 ramp to S.R. 60 West, S.R. 589 North, and Tampa International Airport is relocating roughly half a mile north of its current spot. The change is part of the ongoing Tampa Westshore Interchange Improvements project and is weather permitting.
To reach S.R. 60 West, S.R. 589 North, or the airport under the new setup, drivers will stay on northbound I-275 for an extra half-mile before pulling onto the temporary exit. That detour ramp connects directly back to the existing exit road…
