Suburban Twin Cities ice cream stand voted ‘America’s Best’

A perennial favorite for frozen treats in White Bear Lake has been voted “America’s Best Ice Cream.”

Cup and Cone, located at 2126 4th Street, has been slinging soft-serve in the community since 1973. This week, the seasonal stand won the crown of “America’s Best Ice Cream” — an award from The 64, which hosts a variety of online tournaments that cover everything from the best waterparks to the top gyros in the nation.

The shop, which also sells sandwiches and hot dogs, was declared the winner after five rounds of online voting. It beat out 63 other ice cream shops, including two here in Minnesota…
