Rockies fans leave Coors Field early amid scorching heat Sunday

DENVER (KDVR) — It was a scorcher on Sunday, with the Rockies shaving their second-hottest home game ever. Fans still piled into Coors Field for the Rockies game, but many hit the exits early because of the heat.

It was 99 degrees at first pitch.

From outside of the park, you could hear the crowd celebrate a sixth-inning home run. Usually, that would be an exciting time for fans. But on Sunday in the extreme heat, it was a different story.
