Colorado Cities Miss Pet-Friendly Top 10

Colorado has been known to be a pet-friendly state for years. Over the past 10 years, you’d be hard-pressed to find a restaurant or craft brewery with a patio that wasn’t dog-friendly.

As a dog owner, I love the fact that I could easily take my dog to many places and know they are welcome. However, the pet-friendly factor may be wearing off for Coloradans.

Colorado Cities Miss the Pet-Friendly Top 10

According to a new report from WalletHub highlighting the most pet-friendly cities in the United States, Colorado cities show up on the list, but not where you might think.

Colorado Springs and Denver Ranked Outside the Top 30

To find the first Colorado city on the list, you have to scroll all the way down to the 31st spot to see Colorado Springs. Denver is even lower on the list at 36.

Cities that used to be not so pet-friendly seem to have come around to the fact that pets are family, too. Two cities in Florida have ranked in the top five most pet-friendly cities. Orlando, Florida, at number four, and Tampa, Florida, at number two.

The most pet-friendly city in the United States, according to WalletHub, is Scottsdale, Arizona, with a pet health and wellness ranking in first place and an outdoor pet-friendliness ranking of fifth place…
