BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Days after postponing a popular food vendor event in Buffalo, the city is cracking down on events and organizers that fail to follow proper procedures.
City officials postponed the Hood Taste of Buffalo event over the weekend, claiming that organizers failed to obtain the right permits to host the large gathering. Now, organizers are trying to reschedule the event after they secure the proper approvals.
On Friday, the Buffalo Police Department said officers were “taking action to prevent an unsanctioned mass gathering” on East Ferry Street in a social media post.
