Residents of southern Wake County neighborhood describe large gathering before gunfire erupted

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies are working around the clock to find whoever shot four people Monday night.

It happened just before 9 p.m., near the area of Joe Leach and Lassiter Farm roads.

Several people living nearby said there were dozens of cars, and upwards of about fifty people at a rental home along the road.

I didn’t know what was happening,” said Jim Davis, who tells CBS 17 he left the neighborhood for a little while and came back to see first responders. “It looked like at the corner of Joe Leetch and Ten-Ten, they were working on somebody there on the ground. I couldn’t see.”…
