LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Road closures remain in place near the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Girard Park as construction continues on the new Our Lady of Wisdom Church steeple.
A 300-ton crane that will be used to assemble and lift the steeple into place has been moved to the site. Church officials reported that assembling the steeple on the road next to the church will take about two days.
If construction remains on schedule, the steeple is expected to be placed on top of the church on Friday…
