(NewsNation) — A Native American woman is asking for help finding her cousin, Kaseya, who she says has been missing for more than a year after being swept up in Arizona’s sober living fraud scheme.
Savannah Howard told “Jesse Weber Live” one of her other cousins, Anecia, was picked up in a white van from Blue Gap, Arizona, and taken to a facility called Syracuse in Phoenix, where operators offered her $200 for every person she recruited. Howard said that’s how Anecia’s twin sister, Kaseya, ended up at the facility too.
“They fed them fentanyl, they fed them alcohol, they fed them methamphetamines,” Howard said. “It’s been two years.”

She said Kaseya was later sent to a facility called Thomas Suites. That was the last contact her family had with her.
Attorney John Brewer, who is representing the victims in a class-action lawsuit against the state, said Thomas Suites reached a plea deal with Arizona and paid a $25 million fine, but the facility’s owner was allowed to keep operating.
