New and longtime neighbors around Eden Prairie gathered for annual Night to Unite celebrations.
Night to Unite, previously called National Night Out, is an opportunity for neighborhoods to get together and connect with law enforcement. The City of Eden Prairie encourages participating neighborhoods to collect food and cash donations for PROP (People Reaching Out to People).
This year, 153 neighborhoods held block parties, collecting about 9,000 pounds of food and $160 for PROP, according to the city. Neighborhoods that collected more than 200 pounds of food were entered into a raffle to win an ice cream social hosted by the Eden Prairie police and fire departments…
