WATCH: Deputies use grappler to stop driver during chase through Battle Ground

BATTLE GROUND, Wash. (KATU) — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office released video of their deputies using a grappler device to stop a suspect who led them on a car chase Tuesday on SR-503 through Battle Ground.

The pursuit started at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when deputies found a car linked to several hit-and-run crashes in the Portland area. Officials said the driver was reported as missing and was thought to be in a mental health crisis.
