MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (WPDE) — Families can hit the lanes for free this weekend at Myrtle Beach Bowl while helping raise money for a 5-year-old boy battling leukemia.
Myrtle Beach Bowl is hosting a family-friendly National Bowling Day event Saturday with vendors and mascots. The fundraiser benefits a family in the bowling community, with proceeds helping cover the child’s medical bills.
“You’re going to have a great time. And yes, 20% of all the snack bar proceeds are going to go to help Briar fight and pay for the leukemia battle. He’s down at MUSC. He was hoping to be here, but he’s still in the hospital. So it would be great to have the support. Let the family know that the community cares,” said Larry Nowak of Myrtle Beach Bowl.…
