MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – We’re giving you the First Alert to a much drier forecast for your Friday. Temperatures will warm up, especially through the weekend and into next week.
TODAY
Drier air aloft today will keep the storm chances more isolated.
Expect a day filled with heat and humidity as sunshine sends our temperatures into the mid-upper 80s. A couple spots inland will push to 90°.
Any storm that develops today won’t last long. Don’t cancel any outdoor plans today.
THIS WEEKEND
We’ll keep the risk of scattered storms in the forecast for Saturday, especially during the afternoon hours. Don’t cancel your outdoor plans, but be mindful that a few storms will develop later in the day.
Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s for the beaches this weekend. As we head inland, highs will climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s. The heat index will range from 100-105° this weekend.
Pop-up storms are expected again on Sunday afternoon, but there’s no reason to cancel your plans. We’ll keep the risk of a couple of afternoon storms around.
