A 73-year-old Cape Coral resident has been sentenced to six months in federal prison for transmitting online threats against federal law enforcement officers, federal officials announced.
U.S. District Judge Kyle Dudek ordered Joseph Rocco Giancola to serve the prison term, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for making interstate communications of threats to injure. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the sentence.
