Tulsa International Airport control tower reaches new milestone as cab glass installation begins

TULSA, Okla. – Construction is continuing on Tulsa International Airport’s new air traffic control tower as crews begin installing the glass that will enclose the tower cab.

Airport officials said installation of the cab’s 12 glass panels is now underway. Each panel is 2 3/8 inches thick, weighs about 1,800 pounds and is being installed more than 250 feet above the ground.
