Child rescued after becoming submerged near waterfall in Brooklyn Heights park

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) — A child was rescued after he became submerged near a waterfall in a Brooklyn Heights park Saturday.

According to the city’s fire department, first responders were called to Tuxedo Park around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 8. The incident happened several hundred feet into the park, a post from the fire department said.

Bystanders had removed the child from the water before first responders arrived, and a nurse had already begun attempting to resuscitate the boy.

“A Brooklyn Heights Police officer arrived and provided first-responder care until fire and EMS crews took over,” the post said…
