MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said a new sheriff was sworn in Monday morning.
Officials said Nathan Mace was officially sworn in as the 26th sheriff of McDowell County by District Court Judge Ellen Shelley.
Additionally, Paul Alkire will now serve as Chief Deputy of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
