BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Central Alabama Water’s Board of Directors appointed attorney Shan Paden as the utility’s general counsel Monday, expanding the role of an attorney who has already served on the utility’s outside legal team for more than a year.
Paden will remain a contract attorney rather than becoming a full-time CAW employee. As the utility’s chief legal officer, he will advise and represent CAW on matters involving its governance and operations, coordinate litigation and oversee corporate compliance, according to CAW.
