Thanks to the Spay/Neuter Program offered by Lee County Domestic Animal Services (LCDAS) in Fort Myers, participants not only get a chance to learn about the benefits of sterilization, including how it contributes to improved animal health and helps reduce pet overpopulation, but they also receive a voucher that provides financial assistance toward the cost of a spay/neuter procedure through participating veterinary clinics. To qualify for a voucher, pets must be deemed healthy enough to safely undergo the procedure.
“During the program, participants will also receive information on the importance of routine veterinary care, including core vaccinations and parasite prevention,” explains Sergio Perez, Deputy Director.
The educational seminar is a one-time session offered periodically throughout the year.
