ST. LOUIS — A Florissant man has admitted to setting multiple fires at a hotel near Ferguson, Missouri last year.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, on March 26, 2025, 40-year-old Brandon Dallas Smith admitted to buying a cup of gasoline from a convenience store at 2:26 a.m., then used that gas to start several fires at the Knights Inn Ferguson hotel, located in the 2700 block of Target Drive.
Gusts at the hotel were awakened by a fire alarm, with two of them being ignited outside of hotel room doors and a third on the second-floor stairwell. The guests were able to put out the fires before the fire department got there, but the hotel did sustain some damage as a result…
