SUPERIOR TWP., MI — Trinity Health Ann Arbor performed the first implant of an investigational next-generation leadless pacemaker in the Midwest on Thursday, Aug. 6 as part of a clinical study evaluating advancements in cardiac pacing technology.
The procedure marks a milestone in the hospital’s participation in an FDA Investigational Device Exemption clinical study. The BIOTRONIK LivIQ leadless pacemaker is investigational technology designed to provide leadless pacing while enabling the heart’s upper and lower chambers to work together more naturally through advanced sensing capabilities.
