SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A mother who lost her son to hazing is bringing her message to the Ark-La-Tex, urging parents and students to know the dangers before it is too late.
Rae Ann Gruver, founder of the Max Gruver Foundation, addressed the Shreveport Rotary Club on Tuesday, sharing her family’s story in hopes of preventing another family from living it.
Her son, Max, died in 2017 after a hazing incident.
‘One bad decision’
“It really only takes one person, you know, one situation, one bad decision for something to go too far and someone could be seriously harmed, psychologically damaged, or even dead like our son,” Gruver said. “So, we just want to be that voice, and we want to share the information we’ve unfortunately found out since our son’s passing.”…
