Warning Period for New Stop Sign Cameras Begins August 17

The Takoma Park Police Department has announced that the city’s newest automated stop sign enforcement cameras will begin a 30-day warning period on Monday, August 17, before citations begin in September.

During the warning period, motorists who commit a stop sign violation at one of the camera locations will receive a warning rather than a citation. Citation issuance is scheduled to begin September 16. The new automated stop sign cameras are located at the following intersections and directions:
